I missed my connection. What do I do next?

Start with the airline. Then handle one next step at a time.

The airline is the first stop.

Use the operating airline's official app, gate, or service desk. An unexpected caller or travel-site page may not have the current answer.

Four simple steps

  1. Step 1

    Check the operating airline first.

Open its official app or go to its gate or service desk. The airline controls your next flight, bags, and connection help.

  2. Step 2

    Find out what happens next.

Ask for the next flight, gate, and any new boarding time. Write it down or take a screenshot before you walk away.

  3. Step 3

Ask for one concrete kind of help.

You can ask for wheelchair help, a slower route, gate guidance, help with a tight connection, or a place to wait.

  4. Step 4

    Keep the essentials with you.

Keep medication, mobility aids, your phone charger, and anything you need for the next several hours nearby if you can.

Do not let an urgent moment turn into a scam.

Ternly does not place unrequested calls or send unrequested texts. End unexpected contact and restart from a website or email address you already trust.

Common questions

Who can rebook me after I miss a connection?

Start with the operating airline. It controls the next flight, bags, and most airport assistance decisions.

What if I am already at the wrong gate?

Stop at a staffed airline or airport desk. Ask where to go next and whether you need a new boarding pass or gate assignment.

What if a caller says they can fix my connection?

Do not share a sign-in code, card number, passport detail, or booking code. Do not call the number back. Use the airline’s official app, website, or airport desk instead.

Still need help with the next step?

Once you have checked the airline's current plan, send Ternly a short private request. Ternly reviews it before confirming whether it can help.
